Our Story

I started Curious Paws as a mum who wanted to make learning feel joyful - not forced.
 

After navigating our own home education journey with two wonderfully unique children (and a small herd of equally curious cats), I realised that the most meaningful learning doesn’t happen at a desk, it happens in the everyday.
 

Our home education journey began because traditional settings didn’t quite fit the beautiful mix of needs within our family. Both of our children have unique ways of seeing and experiencing the world: one a deep thinker who thrives on routine and detail, the other a sensory seeker who learns best through movement and exploration.
 

Living this life taught me that there is no single way to learn. What works beautifully for one child might not work for another, and that’s not a limitation, it’s a reminder to meet children where they are

Curious Paws grew from that belief: that all learning styles, all neurotypes, and all abilities deserve to be celebrated, nurtured, and understood.

Through sensory play, nature walks, cooking, and creativity, I saw how my children learned best when they were engaged, relaxed, and having fun. And like many parents, I wanted a way to celebrate that learning: to feel confident when writing reports, sharing progress, or just knowing that we were doing enough.
 

So I began sharing what we were already doing: simple, hands-on activities that show how everyday moments can become powerful lessons. What started as a few ideas has grown into a resource for families who want to make learning natural, connected, and joy-filled.
